Itinerary of the 7-Day Morocco Tour — Option A (Classic Sahara)
Day 1 — Marrakech → High Atlas → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
Departure via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) with panoramic views and Berber villages. Visit Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO) and stop in Ouarzazate. Overnight in a riad in the Dades Valley.
Day 2 — Dades → Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Merzouga Desert
Drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Todra Gorges. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon, sunset camel caravan across the dunes of Erg Chebbi, and overnight in a desert camp.
Day 3 — Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) — Sahara Exploration
- 4×4 tour across the dunes and visit to nomadic families.
- Khamlia and its traditional Gnawa music.
- Free time and sandboarding (optional).
Second night in a desert camp or riad in Merzouga.
Day 4 — Merzouga → Ziz Valley → Midelt → Cedar Forest (Azrou) → Ifrane → Fez
Northern route through the Ziz palm groves, stop in Midelt, chance to see Barbary macaques in Azrou, and arrival in Fez. Overnight in a riad.
Day 5 — Fez (guided tour) → Meknes (optional) → Rabat or Casablanca
Guided tour of Fez medina (UNESCO), Chouara tanneries, and artisan quarters. Transfer to Rabat or Casablanca depending on your preference.
Day 6 — Atlantic Coast → Marrakech
Drive along the Atlantic coast (optional visit to the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca or the Kasbah of the Udayas in Rabat) and return to Marrakech. Overnight in a riad.
Day 7 — Marrakech (city tour & souks) → Transfer
